Notices with explicit deadlines, an active list and an archive. Free and ad-free.

== Description ==

Keep admissions notices, application dates and other time-sensitive announcements in a small WordPress notice board. Set a deadline in the site's timezone and put a shortcode on a page. At the deadline the notice is excluded from the active list and included in the archive, without depending on WP-Cron.

* Administrator-only notice editing, notice groups and optional action links.
* Active notices ordered by the nearest deadline; archive ordered by the latest deadline.
* Accessible time labels and pagination, with 1–50 notices per page.
* Formatted text without executing nested shortcodes or third-party content filters.
* No JavaScript, remote services, ads, premium tier or visitor tracking.
* Public CSS loads only when the shortcode is rendered.

Use [jeet_notice_board] for the active list and [jeet_notice_board view="archive"] for the archive. Optional attributes: group="admissions", limit="20", heading="Admissions notices". Different views/groups have independent pagination.

== Installation ==

1. Upload the individual ZIP in Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, install and activate.
2. Open Notice Board > Add notice. Enter a title, formatted text and deadline.
3. Publish the notice. Draft, private, password-protected or deadline-free notices are excluded from the public board.
4. Add [jeet_notice_board] to a page, and the archive shortcode on another page.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Is the archive automatic? =
The shortcode compares deadlines with the server's current time on each uncached page render. It does not change the post's publication status. Cached HTML can remain stale until your cache refreshes; set a suitable cache lifetime or exclude notice pages when exact cutoffs matter.

= Which timezone is used? =
The WordPress timezone in Settings > General. A deadline of 17:00 expires at the start of that minute. If the site timezone changes later, the stored instant stays the same and its displayed local time changes. During a daylight-saving clock change, PHP chooses one interpretation of an ambiguous local time; use an unambiguous time outside the clock-change hour.

= Can editors maintain notices? =
Version 1 requires manage_options (normally administrators). There is no public submission form or remote management API.

= Are private documents protected? =
No. Published notice text and its links are public through the board. This is for public announcements. Attachment URLs have their normal WordPress visibility.

= Do action links remain in the archive? =
The dedicated action link is hidden in the archive. Links you include in the notice body remain visible.

= What happens on uninstall? =
Notices, groups and metadata are retained for reinstall. Delete unwanted notices and groups in WordPress before uninstalling. Content revisions do not restore deadline/link metadata. Concurrent deadline edits are checked, but ordinary WordPress revisions handle notice text separately.
