Jeet Synced Pattern Impact Preview
Check which saved posts, pages and nested synced patterns refer to a shared pattern before you edit it. Free, minimal and read-only.
Before changing a synced WordPress pattern, see its direct and nested references in accessible saved content. Choose a pattern under Tools → Pattern impact, run small automatic batches and review representative dependency paths with edit links. The tool never changes content, renders blocks or requests frontend pages. Coverage limits are visible, and reports are private to the administrator who ran them.

Check shared pattern references before editing
A synced pattern can be placed directly in a page or inside another synced pattern. Jeet Pattern Impact Preview checks structural core/block references in saved post_content and shows which editable posts, pages, public content items and containing patterns lead to your selected pattern.
A small read-only workflow
- Open Tools → Pattern impact and find an editable synced pattern.
- Click Check impact. Small batches run automatically, with pause and manual continuation available.
- Review direct matches and nested reference paths, then open affected content using Edit.
Clear coverage, not an unused-pattern guarantee
This checks saved block markup. It does not render blocks, run shortcodes or fetch frontend URLs. Theme templates, template parts, widgets, custom fields, page-builder databases, runtime output, pattern overrides and other websites are outside scope. Unsynced copies have no continuing link to the original pattern. Zero matches only means no references were found in checked accessible saved content.
Up to 2,000 saved records including 1,000 pattern records are checked, with further content, graph and depth limits. Skipped, oversized, unresolved or capped scans show incomplete coverage. The first 250 matching rows are displayed and one representative path is shown per item. Simultaneous editing can change results, so restart after changes.
Private reports and no frontend overhead
Only administrators with edit access to the selected pattern and inspected content can use the tool. Every displayed item and nested path is checked again for edit access. Private, draft and password-protected items do not get public View links. Per-user reports expire one hour after the latest batch, and can be cleared immediately.
Free and GPL-licensed, with no ads, signup, telemetry, external scan service, frontend assets, public-page credit or paid tier. Self-hosted ZIP updates are installed manually.
Frequently asked questions
Does it change or detach my patterns?
No. It only reads saved block content and creates a temporary private report. Use the regular WordPress editor to make changes.
Can it find patterns nested inside other synced patterns?
Yes. It follows structural core/block references through editable saved patterns and shows one representative chain per match. Missing or restricted references and traversal limits produce incomplete-coverage warnings.
Does zero matches mean the pattern is unused?
No. It means no reference was found in the checked accessible saved content. Templates, builders, metadata, runtime output, widgets and external sites are outside scope.
Does it provide a visual before-and-after preview?
No. It provides a saved-content dependency report before editing. It does not render blocks or compare visual page output.
Who can see private content in reports?
The screen requires administrator-level manage_options access. Every reported item and pattern in its path must also be editable by the current administrator. Reports are scoped to the user who created them.
Is there a scan limit?
Yes. A scan checks up to 2,000 saved records, including up to 1,000 patterns, with additional graph, content-size and traversal limits. It counts matches beyond the first 250 displayed rows and warns when coverage is incomplete.
Is it free on client websites?
Yes. It is GPL-2.0-or-later, free and ad-free, with no account, paid tier, tracking or public-page credit. Updates use manual ZIP replacement.
